HR Adviser

You will need to be a confident and experienced Human Resources professional to provide appropriate advice, guidance and support to operational employees and line management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a good working knowledge of current legislation, HR working practices and recruitment and selection are essential requirements.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide professional HR support and accurate and appropriate advice, including advice on absence, discipline and grievance, as well as advice on all aspects of line management Assist in the updating and implementing of policies and procedures to meet business requirementsEncourage a climate of employee development and satisfaction to engage employees and maintain IIP accreditationProvide support and advice to line managers to contribute to partnership working with Trade Unions and staff representative groups, to optimise people related matters and the engagement of employeesParticipate in the recruitment and selection process in line with budgetary parameters and Company policies and procedures to meet business requirements
  • Be involved in the Security Screening process, supplying and clarifying information and advising as necessary to ensure the security screening process complies with Company and Home Office standards

 HOURS AND LOCATION OF WORKAverage 40 hours per week, Arlesey, Bedfordshire (Although office based in Arlesey, this role requires significant regional travel and a full UK driving licence) BENEFITSSalary – circa £26,000 + £1,500 payment at end of successful year Company Car, Career Opportunities
