Material and Site Control Assistant

  • Check all trunking loads in and out of site and amend the SAP transaction to match what was issued and/or received. Check a number of customer delivery vehicles in and out each day, ensuring that each driver is selected approximately the same number of times. (Daily)
  • To confirm all delivery notes and batch for document imaging. (Daily)
  • To carry out branch activities relative to shortage process, (this may include re-scheduling of delivery failures and entering reason codes determined by others)
  • Maintain a surveillance of the site throughout shift. Check in any visitors and control the distribution of keys in compliance with site security procedures.
  • Run and action outstanding document reports, using a mixture of SAP and intranet reports to identify when an order has not been confirmed, when a TO has not been fully picked, etc. (Daily).
  • Fulfil the role designated in the site emergency plan, and in the out of hours emergency procedure (As required).
  • To receive goods inwards and ensure they are then stored in their designated site location. Follow site processes and procedures for receipt of goods, including resolution of quality discrepancies and for the return of goods. Day to day control of inventory movement on and off site (Daily).
  • Print and assemble the delivery documents for the customer vehicles, including remote outstations, and interbranch trunker movements.  Ensure data sheets are compiled, balloon gas kits and complaint cylinder tags are filed with the delivery documentation and any relevant Dangerous Goods Shipping documentation is assembled. Ensure non-cylinder deliveries to outstations are made when required. (Daily).
  • Must be a confident user of SAP system.

Hours: 6am- 2pm, 2pm- 10pm, rotating.

Mechanical Technician

  • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of all mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment on site - including any future equipment when required.
  • Have the ability, and assist with all aspects to construct, operate and maintain the above plant in a safe and efficient state, and to comply with all relevant legislation - ie: Factories Act, Health & Safety at Work Act, Power Press Regulations, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
  • Have the ability to maintain integral plant - ie: hydraulics systems, gas burners, servo systems, PC and CNC systems.
  • Have the ability to undertake minor electrical work on single phase equipment - ie: 240/110 volt equipment, hand tools, lights etc.
  • Be a member of a production area team if required and fulfil duties within the team for engineering and production functions. Within this will include active involvement in improvement teams to examine issues raised and where cost benefit improvements may be introduced.
  • Be willing to undertake all training necessary to fulfil the above requirements.
  • Have a fully flexible approach to the work, ensuring priority work is completed first and problems are resolved.
  • Carry out the duties of the Senior Technician (Mechanical) in his absence.
  • Take on other duties as may be required from time to time.

Design Engineer (Electronics)

Job Description:
The Engineer will provide key electronics design, product development and testing skills for the creation and support of a range of environmental and occupational monitoring instrumentation.
Plays a key role within the R&D team providing competent component level analog and digital circuit design skills/knowledge necessary for the creation of reliable, effective and up to date product designs.

Key Result Areas.

  • Deliver effective, tested and reliable electronic circuit designs to project timescales and deadlines.
  • Apply competent electronics, engineering problem solving and research skills in support of day-to-day design or product maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise at least fortnightly with project leader and product managers to ensure project tasks and issues remain visible and on target.
  • Work to design specifications and proactively offer their own ideas for design and innovation.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the companyâ s products and applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Demonstrate robust experience of analog and digital circuit design leading to successful products.
  • Ideally experience gained within an electronics design role preferably within instrumentation / monitoring equipment environment.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and capability of making clearly thought out and independent decisions where necessary
  • Proven communications and organisational ability. Demonstrate a proactive approach to projects and problems with the ability to self manage small projects and teams.
  • Strong track record in provision of accurate, functional engineering solutions and resolution of technical problem issues
  • Experienced in working independently and as part of a small project team
  • Intermediate to advanced use of PCs and MS Office applications. PSPICE knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications:

Provide first line engineering support for the identification, investigation and resolution of day to day technical issues within Production, and assisting with the integration of new products to Production and Test arenas.

Joining a team of designer/Estimators you will work from client specifications carrying out the process of design and estimating from concept to completion. You should be able to demonstrate your design ability whilst analysing the cost effectiveness of the production process.

You will have a minimum of two years experience working with CAD, Impact sample case maker, packaging 3000 or relevant estimation/design packages. You will ideally have experience of fibreboard, timber and various types of cushioning foam and DEF standards experience to DR14, training will be provided for the right person.
