Salary: Competitive

Hours: 05:00-13:00 due to Covid-19 –hopefully soon revert to 06:00-12:00.

Areas of accountability:

  • Be responsible for improving and maintaining a fast, high quality and cost effective inbound process for products and meeting all relevant team and individual KPIs in line with our OGSMs
  • Ensure one team culture within logistics and other teams within the company, as well as support the other Outbound Supervisors as and when required
  • Manage the day to day running of the team ensuring goods are day stamped, KPIs are monitored and achieved
  • Work closely with the Team Manager Logistics in setting daily and weekly stand ups as required
  • Implement ‘Right first time’ quality assurance to improve and maintain a high level of service to customers
  • Monitor staff working hours and manage attendance effectively and in line with company policies
  • Identify and report staff training requirements , coach and develop staff
  • Manage training requirements (including Health & Safety) to ensure people can work across all areas within Logistics to help us manage absence and busy periods
  • Ensure that good housekeeping and 5S is in place and sustained
  • Appraise and manage performance, capability and conduct
  • Carry out Operational activities (picking, packing, putting away ect.) to support the team

Job requirements:

  • A-Level or equivalent
  • Previous Logistics supervisory experience
  • Embraces change and comes up with new ways of doing things
  • A flexible attitude to working hours
  • IT skills are essential
  • Hands on and willing to step in as and when required to help the team
