Our client is seeking a Outbound Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

  • Be responsible for improving and maintaining a fast, high quality and cost effective outbound processes for products and meeting all relevant team and individual KPIs in line with our OGSMs
  • Continually look to learn from best practice and translate this into a clear action plan for the team
  • Ensure one team culture within logistics and other teams within Kramp UK as well as support the other Outbound supervisors as and when required
  • Manage the day to day running of the team ensuring that customer orders are met, maximising efficiency and quality
  • Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, all vehicles are loaded safely and correctly. All stock is claimed and put away in line with KPIs
  • Work closely with the Team Manager Logistics in setting daily and weekly targets and ensuring these are met
  • Communicate clear work instructions effectively to the team and carry out daily or weekly stand ups as required
  • Motivate and focus staff to achieve throughput and quality targets
  • Implement "Right first time" quality assurance to improve and maintain our high level of service to our customers
  • Monitor staff working hours and manage attendance effectively and in line with our policies
  • Identify and report staff training requirements, coach and develop staff
  • Manage training requirements (including Health and Safety) to ensure people can work across all areas within Logistics to help us manage absence and busy periods
  • Provide leadership and operate as a role model, offering mentoring, training and motivating small teams of logistics operators
  • Implement company procedures, ensuring that best practices are observed and safe systems of work are being followed
  • Ensure that good housekeeping and 5S is in place and sustained
  • Co-ordinate resources with Team Manager to ensure work is addressed in a safe and timely manner
  • Create a positive and engaging working environment. Proactively raise operational issues in a timely manner
  • Support the Team Manager Logistics with new initiatives and facilitate change
  • Appraise and manage performance, capability and conduct

·         A level or equivalent

·         Previous Logistics supervisory experience

  • A Focused and motivated individual with a desire to progress and develop
  • Embraces change and comes up with new ways of doing things
  • A keen eye for detail and a sound understanding of right first time
  • Strong communication skills with a mature and professional approach
  • A flexible attitude to working hours
  • Maintain a tidy and professional working environment with a special emphasis on health and safety

·         IT skills are essential

·         Hands on and willing to step in as and when required to help the team
