Description

Our client is looking to employ a Licensed B1.2/B3 Aircraft Engineer on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for signing the aircraft CRS and releasing the aircraft back to service. Your work will be supervising and assisting current mechanics with service work including:

  • 50hr inspections
  • 100hr inspections
  • Annual inspections
  • Defect investigation and rectification work

During quieter periods, you will be helping to refurbish a lease fleet of Cessna 152s and other repair work including rebuilding, reassembly, rigging, avionics upgrades and insurance repair work.

Your other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a clean workspace and a hygienic working environment
  • Ensure all your tools are maintained and controlled as per our tooling policy
  • Complying with Health and Safety requirements and raise any concerns
  • Ensuring all maintenance complies with CAA regulations, company policies and procedures, and meeting OEM specifications where applicable
  • Liaise with management regarding workflow and operations
  • Review workpacks and technical records where appropriate
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and avionics issues, and be able to plan and carry out repairs to rectify problems
  • Any other duties commensurate with the position

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • UK CAA Part-66 B1.2 / B3 Licence (FAA A&P; BCAR a bonus but not a requirement)
  • Strong knowledge of piston engine aircraft, specifically Piper, Cessna and Robin.
  • Proven ability to operate in a maintenance environment under tight turnaround times

Desired Skills

  • Preferably previous experience in a certifying or supervisory role, although applicants without this will still be considered.
  • Familiarity with ATP digital manual subscriptions
  • Ability to mentor apprentices or junior engineers

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Salary : £40k - £50k but dependent on experience

Our client potentially would consider someone part-time – would need to be minimum 3 days a week but open to options and flexibility .
