We are seeking an ongoing Temporary skilled MIG Welder to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Responsibilities
- Operate MIG welding equipment to weld components according to specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate welding and assembly.
- Perform quality checks on completed welds to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding; additional skills in Stick welding are advantageous.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other welding equipment.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical documentation.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is beneficial.
