We are recruiting on behalf of a professional and highly respected enforcement company based in Bedford. This is a varied field-based role where no two days are the same. Based from the Bedford office, you will travel to different locations across England as part of the enforcement team.
Start times and assignment lengths can vary depending on operational requirements, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, working outdoors and a role away from a traditional office environment.
Previous enforcement experience is highly desirable; however, applications are welcomed from candidates with transferable experience such as security, police, armed forces or any position requiring confidence when dealing with challenging situations.
The role offers:
- Flexible working pattern – minimum of 2 days availability per week (including weekend availability)
- Monday to Friday rate: £13.00 per hour (increasing to £14.00 per hour after 6 months)
- Weekend and mandatory Bank Holiday rates: £18.00 per hour (increasing to £20.00 per hour after 6 months)
- Uniform and PPE provided
- Ongoing in-house training
- Use of company vehicle from the Bedford office to allocated operations and return

Job Description:
- Carrying out enforcement work covering all areas of the Company’s operations, as directed by the Operations Manager/Appropriate Line Manager.
- To work as part of a team to ensure compliance with National Standards and other laws and regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and ensuring relevant PPE is used, method statements followed, site-specific risk assessments carried out and all relevant paperwork completed.
- Ensure all company policies and legal requirements are met.
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post.
- Some driving required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in High Court Enforcement, Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery, Repossession or similar enforcement work (desirable)
- Alternatively, experience within security, police, armed forces or other customer-facing environments
- A full clean UK driving licence (no offences relating to incorrect use of mobile phone, drink/driving, or more than 6 penalty points)
- Good IT skills and confidence using technology including cameras, body cameras, iPads, mobile phones and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and basic Excel)
- Good communication, organisation and written skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations
- A confident, assertive and persuasive approach
- Good judgement and negotiation skills
- The ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
- The flexibility to work around operational requirements, including outdoor work in all weather conditions
